Primarily comprised of suspected fan mail and love letters sent to Lord Byron, with some anonymous letters and envelope scraps. "Ysabel's" letter begins with a quote from "Romeo and Juliet", Ace 1, Scene 4. Also includes letters from Hariette Wilson, Bern Page, Frances Weddelburn Webster (Lady Frances Webster), Elizabeth Wharton, Francis Wrangham and Andreas Xantha. With additional correspondence from George Canning and Lord Holland. Unknown writers include: (1) 1814, “Henrietta”; (2) 1816, “Elizabeth”; (3) 1821, “NNA”; (4) 1814, “Rosalie”; (5) 1812, “Ysabel”; (6) Undated, anonymous with signature only; (7) 1813-1814, envelope scraps. |
