Among the subjects mentioned are: letters 1854-1855, Palgrave’s suggestions for changes to the “next edition” (3rd (1855) of the “Handbook of painting. The Italian schools”, by Franz Kugler; and, letter, 7 January 1861, Palgrave’s request to be allowed to include a number of poems by Lord Byron in “a little selection of English Lyrical poetry” (the “Golden Treasury”) that Palgrave was then arranging with the “advice and assistance” of Alfred Tennyson. 1854-1855, 1861, 1863, 1870: folios 1-21.
