| Description | This manuscript includes letters and uncertain date, of Amelia Valsamachi to John Murray II and John Murray III. Some concern works of her first husband, Reginald Heber, including hymns, sermons, and his “Narrative of a journey through the upper provinces of India from Calcutta to Bombay”. There is also mention of her own work, “The life of Reginald Heber” and of events in the Ionian Islands. There is one letter, 1841, of her second husband, Count Demetrius Valsamachi to John Murray II, and several letters, 1880-1888, of her daughter Penelope Valsamachi to John Murray III. All the letters are arranged alphabetically by correspondent and by date under each name. |
